Superb, extra large photograph of her as Elisabeth in Tannhauser, signed below by her, over the photographer mat, and dated in Boston in 1894. Photo is inscribed to the famous Hotel Vendome in Boston, where she used to stay, and was proudly exhibited in one of the hotel hallways for many years. Above her signature, Melba wrote, in French, a short sentiment: 'In remembrance of a charming stay, to the Hotel Vendome'. Size is slightly larger than 18 x 23 inches, it is currently framed, but is sold unframed.  This is the largest Melba autograph we have ever seen, and it is in great condition.
