American boxer (born Cassius Clay Jr.) (1942-2016), one of the most significant and celebrated sports personalities of the 20th century. Nice black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown at a hotel in The Netherlands; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Hans Heuss. Size is 9.3 x 7 inches, evident creases, damage in all four corners, in fair condition.

Russian chess grandmaster (1911-1995) and World Chess Champion.  Card signed by him, size is 5.75 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a page from a magazine or brochure, showing him in a game against Gregory Levenfish (1889-1961).  Size is 7.4 x 9.6 inches, in excellent condition.

French-born American fashion designer (1913-2006). Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed by him. Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

British politician and writer (1874-1965), Prime Minister of the UK during most of WWII (1940-45) and again after the war (1951-55). Fabulous, large size, original photograph by Vivienne, London, signed by Churchill below and over the photographer´s mat, who dated his signature in 1950. Also signed by photographer Vivienne in white ink, over the photo, and ink stamped by photographer on verso. Total mat size is 14.8 x 18.25 inches, actual photograph is mounted on it and its size is 11.75 x 14.7 inches. Minor silvering on photo borders, some minor scratches over mat, general and very even rust toning, overall in excellent condition. One of the most impressive and large signed images we have seen of the famous leader, in a photograph signed as well by the photographer. Rare!

American animator (1901-1966), entrepreneur, and film producer. A pioneer in the American animation industry, Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown young. Size is 8 x 10.1 inches, some smudge over the beginning of the world "Walt"; sticker authentication on verso by an unidentified company; otherwise in excellent condition.

King of England (Edward VII) (1894-1972), who only reigned for 11 months in 1936, abdicated to the throne becoming the Duke of Windsor, in order to marry American socialite Wallis (Simpson) Windsor (1896-1986). Card signed by both Edward as the Duke of Windsor, and Wallis Windsor, with a photo of them. . Card is 5.4 x 3.5 inches, has tape residues on all 4 corners, in very good condition.

Austrian neurologist (1856-1939) and the founder of psychoanalysis. Autograph letter with his letterhead written in German, with his clear and bold signature on verso, dated in 1932, to Paul Epstein discussing his new study group of Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. Freud expresses that "Analysis certain needs fellowship and the exchange of ideas", and is happy with the fact that Epstein (who was an enthusiastic supporter of psychoanalysis) founded the Psychoanalytic Study Group in Los Angeles. Sold with translation and transcription, see last picture. Size is 5.6 x 9 inches, 1 sheet (written on both sides), central fold, minor crack over the upper border, otherwise in excellent condition.

American businessman (b.1955), co-founder of the software giant Microsoft. Fine color photograph signed by him. Size is 9.9 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

American-British petroleum industrialist and founder of Getty Oil Company. Original check signed by him, dated February 11, 1947. Size is 8.4 x 3.6 inches, storage holes, in excellent condition.

French woman who successfully defrauded French financial markets in the 1920s and 1930s. (1890-1935)  Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her. Size is 5.1 x 7.1 inches, two written pages in one sheet (front and back), in excellent condition.

Isabella I (1451-1504), Queen of Castile for the period 1474-1504, reigned over unified Spain with her husband Ferdinand II of Aragon- both are known today as the Catholic Monarchs. Among her most important achievements, they conquered back all of Spain from the Arabs, forced the expulsion of Muslims and Jews from Spain, and financially sponsored Christopher Columbus's 1492 voyage that will result in the discovery of the Americas for the old world!. Rare signed letter, dated in 1483, a very important year for the Spanish Inquisition since that was the year Torquemada was named the Great Inquisitor. The letter is addressed to a nobleman named Sancho de Vergara and mentions a meeting of the Queen with a knight, who will bring him a message. Letter was written by the Queen´s secretary, and signed by the Queen as "Yo, La Reina" ("I, the Queen"). Sold with 3 separate pages that include a full translation and transcription from old Spanish, plus a full description. Letter is 8.6 x 6 inches, folds, minor stains, in excellent condition.

Former head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City from 1958 until 1963. Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a long sentiment dated 1957 (when he was still a Cardinal); blind-stamped on the front by photographer Giacomelli (Venice).  Size is 7 x 9.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Chinese nationalist leader (1887-1975) and politician, led the Republic of China for almost 50 years (1928-1975), first in mainland China (until 1949), later on the island of Taiwan. Fantastic, larger size mat with an original photo of him, signed by him, mounted on a larger black mat to a total size of 10 x 13.1 inches. The actual photograph is 5.7 x 6.9 inches, blind-stamped (metal stamp with no ink) on the front by photographer C. Mea, with text in both Chinese and Western characters. Background rust quite evenly distributed, in very good condition.

American author, disability rights advocate, and political activist (1880-1968). Keller lost her sight and hearing before she was 2 years old. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment, dated 1941. Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

Canadian-American adventurer (1891-1071) who was the first man to go over the Niagara falls on a rubber ball (1928) and fourth person to go over the fall. Signed Photo postcard. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, minor creases, in excellent condition.

American activist (1913-2005) in the civil rights movement, best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955. Autograph note on a card signed by her, wishing season's greetings. Size is 5 x 3 inches, minor stains, in excellent condition.

Star Brazilian footballer (b.1940), considered one of the greatest soccer players of all times, voted World Player of the Century by IFFHS. Magazine Kick (official magazine of the American Soccer League), issued July 10th, 1976, signed by the star on the front cover with a blue ballpoint pen.  Full magazine with all pages and covers, size is 8.3 x 10.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Star Brazilian footballer (b.1940), whose real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento; is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all times, voted World Player of the Century by IFFHS. First-day cover for the release of stamps commemorating the USA FIFA Worldcup 1994 issued on May 28, 1994, signed with a black felt tip pen by the Brazilian star in its original envelope.  Size is 9.4 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition.

American film actress (1921-2016) and First Lady of the United States from 1981 to 1989; she was the second wife of President Ronald Reagan. Time magazine cover from January 14th, 1985, signed and inscribed by her. Size is 8 x 10.8 inches, only cover (not full magazine), in excellent condition.

Algerian-born French fashion designer (1936-2008). Rare and fantastic original black-and-white photograph signed by the star designer, shown designing a dress during his time as a designer for Christian Dior; ink-stamped on verso by Studio Maywald & Christian Dior.  Size is 7.1 x 9.4 inches, in excellent condition.

British former Princess of Wales (1961-1997) and first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales (b.1948). Fantastic Christmas bifolio card with a greeting and a photograph signed by both.  Each page is 7.9 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

Former Princess of Wales (1961-1997), first wife of Prince Charles of Wales, and mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, who died tragically in a car accident in a Paris tunnel in 1997.  Beautiful Christmas card signed by her with a short sentiment, along with a photograph of her and her sons. Each page is 6 x 8 inches, in excellent condition. Important note: This is not the original photo that came with the card. Somehow the original photo (showing Diana´s children with 2 other children) came off and has been lost, and was properly replaced by the one now attached to this card.

Photographic archive from Stockholm's influential 1912 Olympic Games Rare and impressive collection of 240 vintage postcard photographs offering a comprehensive visual record of the Stockholm 1912 Olympics, all meticulously numbered and arranged in a period leather-bound album, 14.5˝ x 15˝ x 2.5˝, which was presented as a special gift to Swedish diplomat Gerhard Löwen, who served as the Minister Resident in Buenos Aires from 1910 to 1918. Each matte-finish photograph, 5.25 x 3.25 and 3.25 x 5.25, captures a unique image from the historic Stockholm Games, including legendary figures like King Gustaf V and American athlete Jim Thorpe, sundry teams and competitors, moments from the opening ceremony, the medal celebration, and the Swedish Singing Society concert, and many action shots from sporting events like gymnastics, shooting, equestrian, tennis, cycling, football (soccer), aquatics (diving, swimming, water polo), rowing, sailing, and various athletic events like the marathon, shot put, discus, and the pentathlon. As noted, Thorpe appears twice in this collection: at the start of the 1500-meter race in the pentathlon (No. 53) and in a heroic full-length pose as the winner of the pentathlon and the decathlon (No. 90).  A couple of postcards in this collection, with Jim Thorpe have been sold in the past for 6k-9k USD each by themselves. Here both are part of this amazing collection. The album, which is engraved in gilt to the front cover, “Los Juegos Olimpicos De Estocolmo 1921,” includes a brad-bound index describing each offered photograph. In very good to fine condition, with wear to the album's spine, and light silvering to the edges of most of the photos.

First president of Israel and zionist leader (1874-1952), Weizmann was also a noted biochemist.  Signed biography book in 2 volumes, only volume 1 is signed on this limited edition in special paper of just 500 copies, each one signed and numbered. Hardcovers in blue cloth, wear and some damage on spines, no dust jacket, otherwise in excellent condition.

Page with the letterhead of The Bahamas government signed by them. Size is 3.8 x 5.25 inches, stains, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed letter signed by the secretary of the couple in 1944.  

American architect (1867-1959), designer, writer, and educator, who designed more than 1000 structures over a creative period of 70 years. Large photograph signed and inscribed by him to fellow architect George Brigham (1889-1977); and also signed with a pencil by photographer Don Wallace. Size is 10.9 x 13.9 inches, minor silvering over the top, small creases on all corners, probably trimmed from a larger format, in overall excellent condition.
