French painter and illustrator (1864-1901), and one of the most famous artists of the Post-Impressionist period. Autograph letter signed, in 2 pages, in French. Lautrec updates his mother on his busy schedule, recent work and an upcoming show of his work: "...If I have not written you it is that I have been overbooked with work. I have worked as much as I am able only on my drawing of Figaro, but Bachon is not happy, I have not sent him Figaro. He made the observation to me that as an artist I have to show all the best works I am doing always so maybe I should not show it. I think that you would want me to listen to this sage reasoning...I am going to work this evening at the bar...Shoot!...". Each page is 5.1 x 8 inches, folds and some professionally repaired cracks and missing paper, tape marks on verso, in overall very good condition.

ALSO INCLUDED are a transcription of the text in French, and a photo postcard of Toulouse-Lautrec shown in his studio in front of a model and a painting - a nice image for anyone who wants to frame this fantastic autograph letter.

Returns & Exchanges

Unsatisfactory items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for your choice of a store credit or a full refund. In order to qualify for a refund, items must first be returned in the exact same condition they were shipped. By default we ship via USPS, and provide the option to ship via FedEx or UPS. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable for any items that were already shipped, either returned or not. At our discretion, a restocking and relisting fee of up to USD 40 could be applied for some returned items, although this is very rarely applied.
