Hairspray is an American musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman, with a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. Their book "Hairspray: The Roots" signed on the first title page by  all four authors plus two other signatures (probably other co-participants in the making of the book), published by Roundtable Press Book, and Faber & Faber, Inc..
