French politician and writer (1829-1870) Set of 3 Autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, as follows: A. Ce Mardi 27 Mai [1850 ca.]. To a gentleman, recommending a young singer: “…M. Laurent est élève au Conservatoire; il a cahnté le baryton à Londres, à Bruxelles et à La Haye…”. 2 pp. In-8. With letterhead. B. Paris le 15 9bre 1850. To a Viscount: “…j’ai vivement appuyé auprès de qui de droit la demande de M. Courmer. Son affaire du reste ne dépend pas encore immédiatement du Ministère de l’Intérieur. La commission des Théâtres doit donner un avis préalable qui n’est pas encore rendu. (…) Je puis vous dire dès à present que si l’avis de la commission des théâtres est favorable j’ai lieu d’avoir bon espoir que Mr. Cormer sera satisfait…”. 1 p. ½. In-8. C. Royal Navy admiral (1766-1844) and conservative member of the British parliament. Autograph letter signed by him, to a lady called Lina Brydges, dated on January 28, 1840.  Size is 7.25 x 9 inches, 2 pages written on a folded sheet, folds, in overall very good condition.

French journalist and politician (1820-1892) and Prefect of national defense during the French-German war of 1870. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, March 11, 1882, where he addresses a gentleman, thanking him for having sent him his “chanson patriotique”: “…deux poëtes et un musicien seront ainsi pour composer cette oeuvre remarquable. Je félicite la trinité de consacrer ses efforts à répondre dans le peuple des sentiments élevés. Il n’y a pas de plus beau rôle…”. Size is 7.6 x 9.2 inches, 1 page, folds, creases, dirt stains, in overall very good condition.

American military general (1896-1993) and aviation pioneer who received the Medal of Honor for his raid on Japan during World War II. Nice black-and-white promo photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Jim Sloan. Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French deputy (1816-1897). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, January 19, 1864, addressed to the Prefect, asking for two invitations for a Bal at the Hôtel de Ville for “…Madame et Mademoiselle de Bruillard…”.  Size is 7.7 x 9.9 inches, 1 page, letterhead "Corps Legislatif", folds, some creases, in overall very good condition.

American politician (1780-1865). Clip from the bottom of a document mounted on a larger piece of paper with his signature below the signature of Thomas Cope, dated August 24, 1832. Total size is 8.5 x 3 inches, in very good condition.

South African-born Israeli diplomat and politician (1915-2002), and a scholar of the Arabic and Hebrew languages. Regular card signed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American army general and statesman (1890-1969) who served as the 34th president of the USA from 1953 to 1961.  Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, mounted on hard cardboard. Size is 7.8 x 9.3 inches, rust stains, some creases, in fair condition.

American attorney and law enforcement administrator (1895-1972) who served as the fifth and final Director of the Bureau of Investigation. Typed letter signed by him with the FBI logo on top, signed by him and dated 1943. Size is 7.1 x 9.2 inches, 1 page, central fold, in excellent condition.

American lawyer and politician (1932-2009), and former senator for Massachusetts.  Front cover from a magazine signed by him (not full magazine) trimmed over the top and left borders.  Size is 8 x 10.25 inches, in excellent condition.

American politician (1932-2009) -born Edward Moore Kennedy, senator from Massachusetts for 47 years and brother of the former US President John F. Kennedy. Fantastic black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown young. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Hungarian politician and civil engineer (1841-1914), autograph note signed, written in Budapest, dated in 1914. Written in Hungarian, sold untranslated. Size is 4.3 x 2.76 inches, some silvering on edges not affecting the text and signature. Otherwise in very good condition.

American politician (1936-2018) who served as senator from Arizona from 1987 until his death in 2018 and was a nominee for president of the USA during the 2008 election. Beautiful color photograph signed by him, shown giving a speech. Size is 11 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

British statesman (1838-1923), and newspaper editor. Autograph letter in English signed by him, dated 1874. Size is 4.3 x 7 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

Israeli politician (1921-2015) and 5th president of Israel (1978-1983). Great color photograph signed by him. Size is 5.5 x 7.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French politician and diplomat (1864-1944). Beautiful vintage (unsigned) cabinet photo of the politician by photographer Henri Manuel (Paris). Size is 4.1 x 6.3 inches, some silvering, in excellent condition.

Field Marshal and General of the British Army (1832-1914) who became one of the most successful British military commanders of his time. Autograph note signed by him as "Roberts" dated 1905. Size is 4.5 x 6.9 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photo postcard of him.

American businessman and politician (1908-1979) who served as governor of New York between 1959 and 1973. Typed letter with the letterhead of the Executive Chamber of the New York State signed by him and addressed to the American bass-baritone George London, dated September 26, 1962.  Size is 7.2 x 10.4 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

American politician and activist (b.1941), and member of the Congress in various periods. Nice color photograph signed by him. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American author, activist and civil rights leader (1927-2006), wife of famous leader Martin Luther King Jr. Nice and small card signed by her. Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American politician and diplomat (1900-1965), served as the 31st Governor of Illinois from 1949 to 1953, was the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 1952 and 1956 and later served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1961 until his death in 1965. Typed note signed on his 1952 presidential campaign stationary with handwritten signature. Also included: the original letter to which he responded (see scans). Size of typed note is 6 x 9.5 inches, several folds, in excellent condition.
