French composer (1831-1870), and pianist, who was known for his numerous salon arrangements of contemporary opera arias. Set of three autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him. Letters are dated between 1863 and 1865 and are addressed to the music publisher Ricordi to discuss details for rights transfer and publication of piano music. Soviet-Armenian composer (1903-1978) and conductor, considered one of the leading Soviet composers of his time. Paper clip with his signature dated in Moscow, 1977. Size is 5.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1857-1941), wrote several operas, many songs - also pedagogue. Signed card, with a couple of bars with notes, mounted on a larger card with a half-tone photo of him. Size is 7 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1857-1941), one of the most important opera composers of the romantic post-Wagner era. 4-bar music quote from one of his works on the verso of a visiting card of the Vienna Royal Gymnasium student Josef Epstein, signed by the composer and dated on October 19, 1926. Size is 4.1 x 2.5 inches, small loss of paper over the upper-left corner, otherwise in excellent condition.  

English composer (b.1927) and jazz drummer, who led his own ensemble from the 1950s until 1977, and wrote arrangements for big bands, and music for over 100 commercials. Autograph music quote with some bars from his work "The Colour Quadrant Suite" signed by him.  Size is 8.25 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1858-1936) and Choir director. 5-bar autograph music quote from one of his works for tenor and baritone on cardboard signed by him, dated in Vienna, May 5, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer and choirmaster (1858-1936), creator of hundreds of choral pieces, as well as educational textbooks for schools. Set of two autograph letters written in German (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in Vienna, 1893. Each one is one page, 5.75 x 9 inches in size, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a printed announcement for his funeral in 1936, with an invitation from the Wiener Schubertbund, an unsigned photo postcard of him, and a typed speech for his funeral, signed by bibliophile, culture personality and teacher Friedrich Speiser (1899-1979). German composer (1925-2009). 1-bar autograph music quote on a card from his Oratorium “Warum Hat Die Sonne Einen Aschenrand” composed for the 30th Anniversary of Amnesty International, signed and dated by the composer on Feb. 22, 1992. Danish-born composer (1883-1946) who worked primarily in Germany and Austria. 4-bar autograph music quote from one of his works on cardboard signed by him and dated 1923. Size is 4.7 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German composer (b.1956), author of several orchestral works, including "Al Fondo Negro" for large orchestra (1993). Facsimile copy of a page from the manuscript of "Al Fondo Negro" signed by her over the top with the name of the work on black ink (printed score; signature and text are handwritten).  Size is 8.25 x 11.6 inches, central fold, in excellent condition.

Finnish composer (1921-1996), considered one of the most famous composers of his country. Music quote on a card with 3 bars of music from his most famous work "The Last Temptations" (1972) signed by him. Size is 5.5 x 3.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian conductor (1888-1981) and composer. Autograph note on a card signed by him, with no date indicated, stating that he has been working as a conductor for years and he is not involved anymore in composing.  Size is 4.7 x 3.4 inches, in overall very good condition.

Austrian composer (1845-1914) and also bass singer. Short autograph note on his original printed business card signed by him. Size is 4.8 x 3.1 inches, some age toning, in very good condition.

Russian-born American conductor (1901-1980), and arranger who was one of the major exponents of popular orchestral music. Autograph music quote with 2 bars of music from Emile Waldteufel's waltz "The Skaters" (1882) signed and inscribed by him on a program of the Philadelphia Pops Orchestra concerts season 1964-65. Size is 5.9 x 8.9 inches, 2 pages, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1933-1995) and music teacher whose works blended elements of late romantic, impressionist, twelve-tone, and jazz styles. 2-page music draft of the work "Vor Spiel fur Passion" written in pencil on both sides of a sheet signed and inscribed by him. Size is 8.2 x 11.6 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian,‭ ‬later american composer and writer (‬1900-1991),‭ ‬who explored atonality and other modern styles.‭ ‬Signed photo,‭ ‬shown with a score,‭ ‬dated in‭ ‬1979.  Large autograph music quote signed, with 7 bars, triple staves, from his opera "Orpheus und Eurydice", op. 21, 1923. Krenek even included text for voice below the piano score. Large size, 8.5 x 11.75 inches, fold near the right margin, otherwise in excellent condition.

Austrian-American composer (1900-1991) who explored atonality and other modern styles and wrote some books on the topic. Short autograph note signed by him to one of his friends, dated 1984. Size is 6 x 4 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

German composer (1830-1908) and organist, who worked for the Dresden Court and composed several operas and masses. 3-bar autograph music quote from the Maestoso “Krönungsmarsch” from the opera “Die Folkunger” (1874) signed by him and dated in Dresden, 1894. Size is 3 x 4 inches, central fold, in excellent condition. On the verso, there is a printed copy of Kretschmer piano and voice “Frühlingslied” op. 3,  in good condition with some tape traces.

Austrian composer and singer (1875-1929). 4-bar autograph music quote from his song "O Du süasse Weana Musi" on cardboard signed by him, dated in Viena, May 5, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (1914-1984), music director, violinist, and teacher. A printed score of the work "Southern Ships and Settlers" signed and inscribed by him on the front cover, dated 1950. Size is 7 x 10.4 inches, 11 pages, soft covers, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1872-1944) and organist. Autograph letter in German (untranslated) signed by him on a card, dated December 27, 1941, where he addresses a gentleman, concerning a find of old compositions: “…Dabei eine ältere Skizze (1931, das erste von 8 alte deutschen Minneliedern)…”. Size is 5.9 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer (1823-1892), whose most celebrated piece is the Symphonie Espagnole, a five-movement concerto for violin and orchestra that remains a popular work in the standard repertoire. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by him, no year indicated. Size is 4.3 x 7.1 inches, 1 page, some rust stains, central fold, otherwise in very good condition.

British composer (1905-1951), conductor, and author; founder and music director of the Royal Ballet. Autograph letter in English signed by him, dated 1942, addressed to Erwin Stein of Boosey & Hawkes music publisher, concerning the ballet Comus (1942).  Size is 4.9 x 6.3 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet, central fold, in overall very good condition.

French composer, oboist (1858-1929) and music teacher whose Studies for Oboe are considered among the best to master the instrument. Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated London, March 10, 1859, addressing a fan, sending him a music quote a some verses of his own.  Size is 5.2 x 8.2 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and verso), sold untranslated, with letterhead, folds, in very good condition.  

French composer (1915-1999), and also a biographer and arts administrator. Card signed by him with 2 bars of music from an unknown piece. Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (1867-1972), and creator of over 200 songs. Nice card signed by her with a 2-bar music quote from her song "The Heavenly Noel" (Opus 57) for Chorus, Orchestra, and soloist.  Size is 5.75 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1902-1971) whose work focused on music for films. Short typed letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him and dated 1932, forwarding to Teatro alla Scala the libret of his opera La Casa dei Fiori. Size is 7.5 x 10.6 inches approx., 1 typed page, central fold, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a printed photograph of him.

French composer (1876-1943) who perished tragically during a bombing in France during World War II. Autograph letter in French signed by him and dated April  4, 1903, to an unidentified gentleman saying that he may forward two letters for him. Laparra will win the Grand Prix de Rome in November for music composition with his Ulysse. Size is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, 1 page, folds, overall rust tone, in very good condition.

Autograph letter in Spanish signed by him, dated Santesteban (Navarra), September 1, 1911, forwarding his portrait and some of his music to a fan upon request. Size is 5.1 x 7.9 inches, 4 written pages in one folded sheet, no translation included, some rust stains, folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

Spanish conductor and composer (1874-1932). Autograph music quote on an album page signed by him with a short sentiment "In remembrance of my concert in Lisbon 1923-1924" and a 5-bar music quote.  Size is 8.5 x 6.9 inches, minor stains, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1867-1935). Autograph note in German signed by him, no date, to a friend, making arrangements for a meeting with Georg Billner. Size is 7 x 8.5 inches, 1 page, storage holes, central fold, letterhead, in overall very good condition.

Italian composer (1920-?), member of the Paris Ansaldi Academy. Typed letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him and dated 1953, addressed to professor Giuseppe Troccoli forwarding him one of his compositions. Size is 8.9 x 11.4 inches approx., 1 page, folds, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is the original envelope plus a Curriculum Vitae of the composer stapled to the letter.
