American soprano (1887-1984) who recorded with Thomas Alba Edison. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1913. Size is 6 x 8 inches in excellent condition. Rare vintage item! Also included: 4 page unsigned publicity brochure for a concert at the Medinah Temple, Chicago containing previous reviews and accolades, as well a list of her recordings. Size of each page is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, in very good condition. Not sold separately. 

American soprano (1887-1984) who recorded with Thomas Alba Edison. Signed photograph, shown as herself, a photo taken by Mishkin Studios, New York, inscribed and dated in 1912. Bold handwriting and signature. This is a 5.75 x 7.5 photo mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 6.75 x 10.5 inches. Signature is at the bottom of the cardboard and not on the photo itself, and this is inscribed to the legendary Metropolitan Opera General Manager Giulio Gatti-Cassazza, who ran the company from 1908 to 1935. Very small creases on the edges of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition. Very attractive vintage item!

Star Australian soprano (1861-1931), who became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian Era and the 20th century for her beautiful voice. Signed cabinet photo, shown in role, inscribed and dated in 1901. Photograph by Gigone & Bosie. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches.

Italian contralto and mezzo-soprano (1896-1983), sang in various important theaters such as La Scala di Milano between 1925-1934, Met Opera of New York 1936-1945 and Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires 1925-1942. Gorgeous photograph shown probably as Carmen, signed, inscribed, and dated in Philadelphia, 1936; a photograph by De Bellis, New York.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition. Romanian soprano (1910-1949), considered one of the biggest stars in Europe during the '30s and '40s and Austrian film and stage actor (1899-1948), and husband of the soprano.  Double signed photograph, shown as themselves. This is a 3.75 x 5.75 inch photo matted onto a soft cardboard mat, with the signatures at the bottom of the mat. Total item size is 6.75 x 9 inches, in excellent condition.

Bold and clear handwriting and signature. 7 x 9.5 inch photo mounted onto a photographer mat (writing is on the bottom of the mat), total item size is 8.75 x 13 inches, some wear on the far edges of the cardboard, photo itself is in excellent condition.

French soprano (1879-1967), who developed an important career in the French repertoire - she was also a teacher for Regine Crespin and Germaine Lubin among others. Large photograph signed by her, shown as Mathilde in Rossini's Guillaume Tell. Photograph is also signed by the photographer. Size is 8 x 10.75 inches, beautiful large vintage photo in excellent condition.

Bulgarian bass (1914-1993), one of the greatest of the 20th century, known for both Russian, French and Italian repertoire.  Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov. Printed signature on front by photographer Villiani, Bologna. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

Additional inscription and signature on verso. Stamped on verso by photographer Levi, Florence. Size is 6.25 x 9.25 inches, in very good condition. 

Italian tenor and teacher (1855-1927) , signed cabinet photograph, shown in role (possibly in Bizet's Carmen), inscribed and dated in 1885. Size is 4.25 x 8.50 inches, small crack on bottom right and slight paper loss on other corners, not affecting image and signature, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian tenor (1885-1963) who had a celebrated international career and made many early recordings for Edison and other labels. Large signed photo, shown in role, inscribed in San Francisco, dated in 1923. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in extremely good condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1870-?) whose career focused mostly on operetta. Nice black-and-white photograph of her depicted probably in role by photographer Varischi Artico & Co. (Milan), signed and inscribed by Ciotti with a short sentiment dated in Rome, November 1905. Size is 8.75 x 12.4 inches, some stains, in overall good condition.

Cuban soprano (1882-1953), signed postcard photograph, shown as herself, dated in Buenos Aires in1908. Photo size is 3 x 5 inches, mounted on soft cardboard, total item size is 5 x 8.5 inches, crease on top right of cardboard not affecting the photo itself, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Swedish mezzo-soprano (1879-1941), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed with sentiment, dated in New York in 1920. Blind stamped by photographer Ferdinand Flodin, Stockholm. Large photograph mounted on cardboard, size is 8.5 x 11.75 inches with some mounting tape traces on verso, but otherwise in excellent condition.

French baritone (1855-1901), known as Arthur Cobalet, particularly associated with the Opera-Comique theater.  Signed cabinet photograph, shown in role in Ambroise Thomas's Mignon, inscribed and dated in Paris in 1888. Photo by A. Libert, Paris. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, slight paper loss on edges, otherwise in excellent condition.   

American tenor (1908-1981), and American mezzo (1914-?), double signed publicity photo, shown as themselves. Blind stamped by photographer Bruno of Hollywood, Hollywood and New York. Size is 7.5 x 10 inches, small blue ink mark near top left of photo, otherwise in excellent condition.

American tenor (1908-1981), debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1950, where he sang for 6 seasons. Signed photo, shown in role. Size is 8 x 10 inches, inscribed. Minor folding damage on the borders, otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1869-1919) who moved to Argentina in 1889 and served as the director at the California Temple of Arts in Los Angeles, USA. Fine photo postcard signed by him, dated in 1907, shown in role.  Size is 3.1 x 5.2 inches (trimmed from a larger size), mounting traces on verso, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a personal card with his signature printed on one side and handwritten by him on verso, dated in Los Angeles, 1907.

Spanish tenor (1869-1919), developed an important international career in Europe, USA, and South America; later lived in Mexico where he passed away from a nervous breakdown at age 50. Beautiful colorized postcard with his image as Ernani, signed and dated by him in Buenos Aires, 1909. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition. Superstar Italian tenor (1921-2003), American soprano (1920-2002). Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed by both artists, shown on stage probably in Mascagni's opera Cavalleria Rusticana. Size is 5.7 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Star Italian tenor (1921-2003), who had a major international opera career between 1951 and 1976, and star Italian soprano (1939-2020). Beautiful large color photograph depicting them as Romeo and Juliette in Gounod's opera at the Metropolitan Opera, signed by both artists, dated in 1994. Size is 11 x 14.25 inches, in excellent condition.

One sheet with two separate signed photographs of two leading mid to late twentieth century Italian opera singers, both appearing in Francesco Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur.  On the front side we see star Italian tenor Franco Corelli (1921-2003) as Maurizio with Italian soprano Magda Olivero (1910-2014) in the title role appearing at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in 1959, the signature on this page is only that of Corelli and the photograph is by the Troncone photo studio. While there is additional handwriting at the top of the page referring to Clara Petrella, it does in fact appear that the soprano shown here is actually Olivero. The verso side of this sheet contains a separate signed photograph of Olivero alone, shown again as Adriana Lecouvreur, this time from a performance given in Florence in 1966, the photo is by the photographer Marchiori. Signatures on each of these photos are at the bottom of the page and do not affect the image. Size of this item is 8.5 x 11 inches, very small crease on bottom of the page, otherwise in excellent condition.

American soprano (1900-?), also known as Lenore Cohron. Nice sepia photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated 1931, here shown as Aida in Verdi's opera. Size is 7.5 x 9.4 inches, creases over the lower-right border, otherwise in very good condition.

This is a 6.25 x 8.75 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard with the signature and inscription on the bottom of the cardboard, not directly on the photo. Total item size is 9.5 x 13.5 inches, some cuts at the far edges of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition .

American opera singer and actress (b.1930), who is best known for providing the voice of Princess Aurora in the 1959 Disney film "Sleeping Beauty". Movie-still photo of the Sleeping Beauty signed by her. Size is 10 x 7.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1831-1918) of the first magnitude, regarded internationally as one of the greatest male opera singers of the 19th century. Fine sepia photograph signed by him and dated in Rome on July 12th, 1904, mounted on a photographer mat by F. Reale & Co. (Rome). Total size is 6.3 x 8.6 inches, photograph is 4.1 x 5.6 inches, in excellent condition.
