Size is 5.3 x 8.4 inches, 1 page, letterhead, in very good condition. Envelope is included. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photograph of him next to his wife and others, ink-stamped on verso by photographer Grassi (Siena, ITA). Size is 9.3 x 7.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Size is 5.8 x 8.2 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), sold untranslated, in very good condition.

French pianist (1877-1962), conductor, and teacher who was one of the most renowned classical musicians of the 20th century. Group of seven important letters in French (untranslated): four autograph signed and three typed signed, dated between 1916 and 1944, by the Swiss pianist and composer. Letters are addressed to the editor Karl Boès-Potier (1864-1940) and others, concerning private matters, recordings with Pathé, Cortot’s support of cultural activities during the two wars. We report two extracts as a sample: “…M. le Sous-secrétaire d’État ne doute pas que votre initiative ne soit de nature à resserrer plus étroitement, au lendemain de la guerre, les liens qui existeront entre les artistes et écrivains français et leurs confrères italiens…” ; “…nous venons, hélas dépauvré trop cruellement l’haneu de pareils moment pour ne pas mantenir à notre tous très surcèlement et très amicalement près de vous deux…”. ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph letter signed by Clotilde Beard (Cortot's wife), dated December 15, 1934.

Album page from his "Album Amicorum" signed by him and inscribed to madame Lydia Pierre Fournier, wife of the renowned cellist Pierre Fournier (1906-1986), on a sheet from his “Album Amicorum”. Size is 4.4 x 6.7 inches, overall rust tone, in very good condition.Below Cortot's inscription, there are two lines in blue ink signed by Friedrich Gulda (1930-2000), who inscribes a second dedication to Madame Fournier.

She was awarded the Legion d' Honneur and made a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres. Signed and inscribed photograph, signed as "Darre". Stamped on verso by Carmen photo studio. Size is 3.75 x 5.75 inches, small creases and bends, otherwise in good condition. 

French pianist (1905-1999), known for her lyrical and elegant interpretations of the solo works of Chopin and Liszt, and the piano concertos by Saint-Saens.
