French tenor of Sicilian ancestry (b. 1963), and Lithuanian soprano (b.1961), double signed photograph, shown in roles at curtain calls following a performance of Verdi's Aida at La Scala, Milan, in 2006. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano (1831-?). Autograph letter in Italian signed by her, dated 1854, to a composer:  "... I am beyond all words sorry not to be able for the autumn season of 1854 to propose to Mr. Pagliano, his beautiful and already approved opera, but since I have already proposed more than one to the above-mentioned, and for which he is already in very close negotiations with the respective owners (...) also for the Carnavale, my impresario has fixed all the operas in perfect agreement with the management of that theater in Verona...".   Size is 5.2 x 8.1 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), folds, overall rust tone, in very good condition. Alajmo performed at Teatro La Fenice in Venice to create the role of Violetta in the premiere of La Traviata in Venice in 1853. Verdi objected and opted for Fanny Salvini-Donatelli. Alajmo later performed this role among many others in her repertoire.

Autograph letter in Italian (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in London, June 10, 1874, to the impresario Innocenzo Canedi, concerning a trial against the soprano Madame Gaston Lacaze and other music issues: "... I am very sorry for all that has happened, but amid three versions which I do not appreciate and which are rather contradictory, I cannot pronounce who is to blame - I shall see this on my return to Paris when I have spoken with the Lacazes - But of all the ways what is clear is that the affair is lost even to me - but let us be clear that if you think you can bring Madame Lacaze to trial if I do not succeed in what you want from mine I intend to participate in the mediation as we are intended to do so. Now I believe it is my duty that the 1st Tenor [Alessandro] Bettini (husband of [Zelia] Trebelli) is free from engagements from August (next) onwards, needless to say, his voice is always fresh, and he knows and has sung 40 operas and that at least here in London it is those old men there, who lead the boat forward – All the young men we were talking about at the beginning of the Season are finished..." Austrian stage and silent film actress (1874-1980), mostly active between 1930 and 1955; and grand-mother of actress Romy Schneider.  Large matted photo, signed, inscribed and dated by her in Vienna, 1926.  Also signed in pencil by photographer Kleff, Breslau.  Size is 9.75 x 14.1 inches (actual photo is 6.8 x 8.9 inches), in excellent condition. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, very small tears at the top of the program, not affecting image and signatures. Otherwise in very good condition.

Albanese was noted for her performances of Verdi and Puccini roles, later in her life worked to help young musicians and singers. Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED: signed Opera News magazine program/cast page of a 1958 radio broadcast of Puccini's La Boheme from the Metropolitan Opera, New York with her signature on the photo of her as Mimi. Program for a recital containing performances by both the star Italian soprano and other performers (many likely voice students of hers) at the Eymard Seminary in Hyde Park, New York, on December 18, 1976, with both a printed signature and hand-written signature of hers on the cover page underneath a painted image of her. This is a folded 4 page program/booklet, size of each page is 6.5 x 11.5 inches, in excellent condition.
