Vintage Composer Toy Music Boxes by ANRI Toriart, Italy! February 16 2013
One very cute article that some collectors love is the famous set of composer toy music boxes by the company ANRI Toriart, Italy.
Another company called Reuge (recognized as the leader in "the art of mechanical music") from Switzerland created the inside music box. Each bust sits on a solid Oak base that houses the Swiss Reuge music box.
The name of each composer is engraved on a metallic brass plaque on the front of the wooden Oak base. The Anri music box is controlled by a brass ball pull switch on the back of each one.
The carving is expertly executed as expected from the world-renowned ANRI Toriart Company. Each measure about 5 1/2" tall wooden base is approx 3" by 2 1/2".
There is an Anri Music box for each of these 12 composers: Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Chopin, Wagner, Verdi, Handel, Haydn.
