Recently Added Authentic Autographs and Memorabilia

Hungarian-born Argentine conductor (1910-1977). Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated 1954; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Wilenski (Buenos Aires). Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine dancer (1914-1991), choreographer, and theatre performer in Buenos Aires. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated 1936, shown in performance; and also signed and ink-stamped on verso by photographer Wilenski (Buenos Aires). Size is 4.4 x 6.75 inches, jagged edges, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (b.1931). Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated in Buenos Aires, 1963, shown in role; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Wilenski (Buenos Aires). Size is 3.9 x 5.6 inches, in very good condiiton.

French tenor (1806-1896) and singing teacher, known as the creator of the role of Edgardo in the world premiere of Lucia di Lammermoor (1835). Autograph note in French (untranslated) signed by him and dated in Paris, 1861. Size is 5.25 x 8.1 inches 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano/contralto (1826-1894), also known as Marietta Alboni-Pepoli. Autograph note in Italian (untranslated) signed by her and dated 1849, where she declines to sing at a concert. Size is 5 x 7.6 inches, 1 written page in 1 sheet, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1778-1837) and virtuoso pianist. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by him in 1830, about a concert. Size is 5.1 x 8.1 inches, 1 written page, spotted rust stains, in overall good condition. Hummel's autographs are very rare to find!

Original program for a performance of Verdi's opera Don Carlos at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, on June 17, 1967, signed by the celebrated Welsh soprano and the American bass on the photo page. Size is 6.25 x 9 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in very good condition. Its original ticket stub is ALSO INCLUDED.

Star Swedish opera singer (1820-1887), one of the most regarded singers of the 19th century and extraordinarily popular in her time. Autograph letter in English (no date) signed by her adding her husband's last name. Size is 4.3 x 6.9 inches, 4 written pages in 1 folded sheet, in very good condition.

German mezzo-soprano and famous teacher (1821-1913). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her and dated 1887. Size is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, 3 written pages in 1 folded sheet, central fold, in excellent condition.

Star Swedish soprano (1843-1921), a fantastic bel canto singer, one of the most important opera stars of her time who sang at the inauguration night of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Set of 2 autograph letters signed by her, as follows:  A. Autograph letter in English signed by her and dated 1886 about personal matters. Size is 4.5 x 6.9 inches, 3 written pages in folded sheet, in excellent condition. B. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her (no date) about an upcoming concert. French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910) of Spanish descent who enjoyed a long and illustrious career as a star performer in the 1840s until her retirement in the late 1860s. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by her (no date). Size is 4.1 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition.

 German mezzo-soprano (1928-2021) and Welsh soprano (b. 1936), double signed photograph, shown in role (likely the Marschallin and Octavian, respectively, in Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier). Size is 4.25 x 6.25 inches, slight bends, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Canadian star tenor (1926-2015) and superstar Swedish soprano (1918-2005). Double signed photograph, shown as themselves. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Spanish tenor (1887-1974) and Italian baritone (1875-1955). Album page signed by both artists in each side including a short music quotes from Tosca and Rigoletto, both dated in Havana, 1917. Size is 5.5 x 7.5 inches, minor stains, in very good condition.

Star soprano (1843-1919), probably the greatest of the second half of the 19th Century.  Original portrait of her, hand painted, attributed on verso to Scottish-American painter William Russell Smith (1812-1896), with the date 1889. No signature, but verso inscriptions match very well some typical verso inscriptions found in paintings by him (see HERE). We believe this could be an authentic painting by William Russell Smith and not by any members of his family or someone else. Framed, total size is 19.1 x 23.25 inches (total), actual painting is 14.6 x 18.75 inches (visible window size). Frame has some damage on borders and should be replaced, painting is in great condition, not examined outside the frame.      

Program for a recital of Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin at the Wigmore Hall, London, on February 22, 2005, performed by Ian Bostridge and Mitsuko Uchida, and signed by both artists. Size is 8.25 x 11.6 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.
