Wonderful album from France, 1880s, with pages containing 44 original albumen prints of nude female models, all mounted on the pages.  Each page is 8.3 x 10 inches, rust stains on pages, mostly not on photos, blue hardcovers, all tied up with a black cloth thread, in overall very good condition. A beautiful limited edition porcelain figurine of Enrico Caruso, shown as Canio in Pagliacci. Porcelain figurine was created by Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory in Germany. Only 5000 high quality figurines were made. The piece is complete with the drumstick and a separate round wood base. This highly collectible item was designed for the Metropolitan Opera Guild in 1983 to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The clown’s face and hands have a matte finish. The predominately white sculpture features colorful hand-painted details. The figurine is in its original packaging, includes certificate of authenticity by the Metropolitan Opera Guild in New York city. The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflote) by Marc Chagall, 1973 Unsigned Offset Lithograph. Paper size is 38.5 x 25.75 inches, with an image size of 38.5 x 25.75 inches. The Offset Lithograph is from an edition size of 10000 and is not framed. The condition was rated A-: Near Mint, very light signs of handling. This is a high quality reproduction of the Magic Flute poster created by Marc Chagall for the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1966. Restrike circa 1973, two pass, five color offset lithograph.

Original French medieval document in Vellum written on the hair side and with ink commonly used continental Europe, in Bastard Gothic font (a typical 15th century style in French territory). Size is 16.5 x 8.75 inches (open size). Hand-written note in pencil on the reverse, probably from the early 20th century indicates the names Payen and Cleret.This document is a notarial act describing the organization and boundaries between Saint-Maixent and Chauray, drawn up in September 1470 at the request of Jean Cléré (or Claret), Lord of Puymans (neighboring Saint-Maixent), for Pierre Payen, Lord of Chauray.

Original French medieval document in paper, continental cursive script, mid-17th century, V-shaped diplomatic document (typical of the period) with extension for wax seal (now lost), and written by a single hand. The joint between the two parts is broken. Size is 13 x 5.25 inches (section A) and 11.5 x 2.9 inches.This document, drawn up in June 1644, contains an agreement between two lords of the region of Artois (northern France), Jean du Mont-Saint-Eloy and the Lord of Liévin, in which consensus is established regarding their hierarchies, territories, and self-defense strategies.

Set of beautiful hand-colored lithographs from Gallerie Dramatique, a French publication that existed between 1796 and 1880. A total of 25 lithographs, from the 1840s, each one is 7 x 10.5 inches, depicting an actor or actress. Some have minor age toning, but in overall excellent good condition. Not sold individually.

The Gramophone magazine is a UK-based monthly magazine dedicated to classical music, particularly to reviews of recordings, but with a large amount of content related to artists and composers. The first issue was in 1923, this publication is now 100 years old and has become a world authority in classical music. Treasured by a collector for over half a century, these bound volumesare full of interesting articles about classical music and opera recordings and performers, and a treasure trove of interesting information, photos, reviews, and more.All 53 volumes are bound, each one is approximately 8.5 x 11 inches, and thickness varies a lot depending on the volume. All magazines are in very good to excellent condition. Sold as a full only, and at a bargain price, will not be split into parts. Star soprano (1843-1919), probably the greatest of the second half of the 19th Century.  Original portrait of her, hand painted, attributed on verso to Scottish-American painter William Russell Smith (1812-1896), with the date 1889. No signature, but verso inscriptions match very well some typical verso inscriptions found in paintings by him (see HERE). We believe this could be an authentic painting by William Russell Smith and not by any members of his family or someone else. Framed, total size is 19.1 x 23.25 inches (total), actual painting is 14.6 x 18.75 inches (visible window size). Frame has some damage on borders and should be replaced, painting is in great condition, not examined outside the frame.      

Star Italian bass (1892-1957), one of the most outstanding singers of the first half of the 20th century, who spent 22 seasons at the Metropolitan Opera.  Original cape used by him in the movie "Tonight We Sing" (1953), where he performed in a scene as Mephistopheles in Faust, singing in French. Approx. size is 32 x 56 inches, in excellent condition. See pictures.  

Superb piece of memorabilia consisting of a wooden fan, signed on both sides by many important music personalities. Fan belonged to Olga Jacchia, a singer from Italy, later socialite. Jacchia collected herself these signatures over a period of more than 40 years, between 1893 and 1937. Signers include Enrico Caruso (who also created a small self-caricature), Giacomo Puccini, Edvard Grieg, Richard Strauss, Ildebrando Pizzetti, Joseph Joachim, Mattia Battistini, Alfred Grunfeld, Felix Weingartner, Ada Negri, Cesare Rossi, Salomon Jadassohn, Antonio Fogazzaro and others we could not identify. Some of the signatures have music quotes. Fan is encased in a gold silver velvet case with its own stand, can be easily viewed through glasses on both sides. Fan size is 22 x 12 inches, total size with case is 24 x 14.25 inches. Some fading in some of the ink signatures, but they are in overall excellent condition. This is the best signed fan we ever had in stock, a very rare, unique item and a fantastic piece of history for any music lover. See photos of front and verso.

Photographic archive from Stockholm's influential 1912 Olympic Games Rare and impressive collection of 240 vintage postcard photographs offering a comprehensive visual record of the Stockholm 1912 Olympics, all meticulously numbered and arranged in a period leather-bound album, 14.5˝ x 15˝ x 2.5˝, which was presented as a special gift to Swedish diplomat Gerhard Löwen, who served as the Minister Resident in Buenos Aires from 1910 to 1918. Each matte-finish photograph, 5.25 x 3.25 and 3.25 x 5.25, captures a unique image from the historic Stockholm Games, including legendary figures like King Gustaf V and American athlete Jim Thorpe, sundry teams and competitors, moments from the opening ceremony, the medal celebration, and the Swedish Singing Society concert, and many action shots from sporting events like gymnastics, shooting, equestrian, tennis, cycling, football (soccer), aquatics (diving, swimming, water polo), rowing, sailing, and various athletic events like the marathon, shot put, discus, and the pentathlon. As noted, Thorpe appears twice in this collection: at the start of the 1500-meter race in the pentathlon (No. 53) and in a heroic full-length pose as the winner of the pentathlon and the decathlon (No. 90).  A couple of postcards in this collection, with Jim Thorpe have been sold in the past for 6k-9k USD each by themselves. Here both are part of this amazing collection. The album, which is engraved in gilt to the front cover, “Los Juegos Olimpicos De Estocolmo 1921,” includes a brad-bound index describing each offered photograph. In very good to fine condition, with wear to the album's spine, and light silvering to the edges of most of the photos.

Star Italian tenor (1850-1905), chosen by Verdi for the title role in the world premiere of Otello in 1887. He also was one of the first Italian tenors to have left recordings. Hand-painted portrait in color, signed by artist M. Konarski, also signed by Tamagno who inscribed this large portrait to his daughter Margherita ("Alla mia adorata figlia Margherita - Francesco Tamagno, 1 Giugnio 1891") Beautifully framed, extra large size, 25.5 x 30.25 inches with frame, oval portrait is 16 x 21 inches (visible window size), in excellent condition.  This is the largest signed portrait of Tamagno we have ever seen, it is inscribed to his daughter and is signed by an artist. A truly impressive, fantastic item.
