In this letter, Leoncavallo mentions his own 'La Bohème' and comments about Massenet's opera 'Sapho' world premiered two weeks before.

Autograph letter in Italian (sold with translation) signed by the composer, dated in Viareggio, March 24, 1918, addressed to librettist Vincenzo Soldani. Size is 5.6 x 8.7 inches, 2 written pages in one folio, in excellent condition.

In this letter, Leoncavallo mentions he had been sick and unable to write before and writes about a never materialized opera project 'Mirandolina'.

Fantastic 6-bar autograph music quote from Arlecchin's serenade from his opera Pagliacci signed by him in Vienna, 1892 -4 months after its world premiere. Size is 6.1 x 3.9 inches, central fold, minor crack over the bottom, minor rust stains, in overall very good condition.
