Italian dancer (1865-1942), choreographer, and ballet master.

Very informative autograph letter signed in Italian, dated in Vichy, June 25, 1933, as Maitre de Ballet au Grand Casino, Guerra writes to the artistic Director of La Scala Nino Cattozzo concerning a Ballet proposition for the Theatre's upcoming season, as follows:

“…Per la ventura stagione del teatro alla Scala ho l’onore di proporle il mio ballo “Siama”. Questo ballo fu rappresentato alla Scala stessa nel 1912. Ebbe esito brillante, tanto che fu replicato per ben trentatré sere (…) vide la luce della ribalta, la primissima volta, sulle scene del Teatro dell’opera di Budapest, ove il compianto Direttore Mingardi, venne a vederlo. (…) si tratta di uno spettacolo di ambiente prettamente giapponese (…) La musica è di autore ungherese, leggerina piuttosto ma aggraziata, melodiosa e ben instrumentata…”.
