Austrian composer (1866-1894).  Autograph letter signed, dated in 1888, 3 pages, written in German, sold untranslated. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, beautiful handwriting, vintage item in excellent condition.

German composer (1830-1908) and organist, who worked for the Dresden Court and composed several operas and masses. 3-bar autograph music quote from the Maestoso “Krönungsmarsch” from the opera “Die Folkunger” (1874) signed by him and dated in Dresden, 1894. Size is 3 x 4 inches, central fold, in excellent condition. On the verso, there is a printed copy of Kretschmer piano and voice “Frühlingslied” op. 3,  in good condition with some tape traces.

Austrian composer and singer (1875-1929). 4-bar autograph music quote from his song "O Du süasse Weana Musi" on cardboard signed by him, dated in Viena, May 5, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (1914-1984), music director, violinist, and teacher. A printed score of the work "Southern Ships and Settlers" signed and inscribed by him on the front cover, dated 1950. Size is 7 x 10.4 inches, 11 pages, soft covers, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1872-1944) and organist. Autograph letter in German (untranslated) signed by him on a card, dated December 27, 1941, where he addresses a gentleman, concerning a find of old compositions: “…Dabei eine ältere Skizze (1931, das erste von 8 alte deutschen Minneliedern)…”. Size is 5.9 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer, oboist (1858-1929) and music teacher whose Studies for Oboe are considered among the best to master the instrument. Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated London, March 10, 1859, addressing a fan, sending him a music quote a some verses of his own.  Size is 5.2 x 8.2 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and verso), sold untranslated, with letterhead, folds, in very good condition.  

French composer (1915-1999), and also a biographer and arts administrator. Card signed by him with 2 bars of music from an unknown piece. Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (1867-1972), and creator of over 200 songs. Nice card signed by her with a 2-bar music quote from her song "The Heavenly Noel" (Opus 57) for Chorus, Orchestra, and soloist.  Size is 5.75 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1902-1971) whose work focused on music for films. Short typed letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him and dated 1932, forwarding to Teatro alla Scala the libret of his opera La Casa dei Fiori. Size is 7.5 x 10.6 inches approx., 1 typed page, central fold, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a printed photograph of him.

French composer (1876-1943) who perished tragically during a bombing in France during World War II. Autograph letter in French signed by him and dated April  4, 1903, to an unidentified gentleman saying that he may forward two letters for him. Laparra will win the Grand Prix de Rome in November for music composition with his Ulysse. Size is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, 1 page, folds, overall rust tone, in very good condition.

Spanish conductor and composer (1874-1932). Autograph music quote on an album page signed by him with a short sentiment "In remembrance of my concert in Lisbon 1923-1924" and a 5-bar music quote.  Size is 8.5 x 6.9 inches, minor stains, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1867-1935). Autograph note in German signed by him, no date, to a friend, making arrangements for a meeting with Georg Billner. Size is 7 x 8.5 inches, 1 page, storage holes, central fold, letterhead, in overall very good condition.

French composer (1913-2014), who worked mostly on short films. Typed letter signed, to an unknown recipient, date in Paris in 1975, written in French (sold untranslated). Size is 8.25 x 11.6 inches, 1 page, some folds otherwise in excellent condition.

French operetta composer (1832-1918), who was very prolific. Autograph letter signed, written in French, sold untranslated. One page size is 5 x 8 inches, some stains and folds, otherwise in very good condition.

Famous Hungarian composer (1870-1948), mostly known for his operettas of which the most successful and best known is Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow). Album page signed by him. Size is 5.4 x 3.7 inches, central fold, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1925-2006), first violin of the Vienna Philharmonic between 1946 and 1985. Autograph music quote on a postcard dated 17.2.85. Size is 4.1 x 6 inches, in very good condition.

French composer (1846-1932), author, and writer.  Autograph music quote on an album page, with 2 bars from an unknown piece for voice and piano, signed by him.  Size is 7 x 4.3 inches, overall age-toning, in excellent condition.

French composer (1863-1919). Autograph letter signed, 4 pages, dated in 1904, written in French, sold untranslated. Bold and attractive handwriting and signature. Size is 4.75 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

English composer and conductor (1822-1896). Autograph letter in English signed by him, dated Oct. 11, 1880, to the editor of “The Girls’ Own Paper”: «...Herewith I enclose my article on part-singing and shall be obliged by seeing a proof before it is issued. I shall be here all this week, and will return it on the day I receive it...». Size is 3.9 x 5.9 inches, 1 page, printed letterhead, some rust stains over upper-left corner, some creases at the bottom, in overall very good condition (see scan provided).

American composer (1932-2015), best known for his opera "Mourning Becomes Electra". Autograph letter on a card with his letterhead signed by the composer, and addressed to one of his friends, dated 1967. Size is 5.75 x 4.3 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an envelope (not shown).

American composer (1878-1963), member of the Indianist movement in American music and known primarily for his song “By the Waters of Minnetonka”. Typed letters signed, both dated in 1947, one in one page and the other in two pages, discussing business. One sized 8.25 x 11 inches and the other one slightly smaller, in excellent condition. Hungarian-Austrian composer of contemporary classical music (1923-2006) considered one of the most innovative and influential among progressive figures of his time. Album page beautifully signed by him. Size is 7 x 5 inches, in excellent condition.

English composer (1809-1886), conductor, pianist, and singer. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1875, written in English. Four pages, each one sized 5 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist (1769-1819) and composer, co-author of the opera "Le Triomphe de Trajan" (1807). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, February 28th, 1819, addressed to the composer and conductor Henri-Joseph Rigel (1741-1799): “…J’ai aujourdhui chez moi le Poete et le Musicien qui doivent traduire pour la Semaine Sainte une partie de l’oratorio de l’Abbé Italien…”.  Open size is 9.6 x 7.2 inches, two written pages in one folded sheet, folds, creaes, some tape traces, in fair condition.

German composer (1902-1985). Album page with an autograph music quote with two bars of music from an unknown piece, inscribed and signed by him below the signature of soprano Maria Ivogun. On verso there is a signature and a quote by the German violinist and bandleader Marek Weber (1888-1964), dated in 1932- Page is 8.1 x 10.25 inches, in very good condition.

German-born American composer (1900-1996). Autograph note signed by him. Size is 7 x 10.5 inches 1 page, folds, in very good condition.

English composer (1813-1887) and musicologist. Autograph letter signed by him, on a folded sheet (written on pages 1 and 3), about personal matters. Size is 4.3 x 6.9 inches, 2 pages in a folded sheet, in excellent condition.

American composer (b.1953), known for his application of technology in music. Autograph letter signed by him, responding to a fan, dated in 1992. Size is 8.2 x 10.4 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

Scottish composer (1847-1935), and also conductor and teacher, known for his oratorios and works for the stage. Autograph letter signed by him about personal matters, dated November 1889. Size is 4.5 x 7.1 inches, 2 pages written on both sides of a sheet, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1914-2003) and also pianist, critic, and educator.  Autograph music quote with 2 bars from his Quartetto No.1 signed by him, dated in 1941.  Size is 6.3 x 3.2 inches, in excellent condition. American composer (1885-1981), pianist, actress, and singer, whose real name was Gussie Zuckermann. Album page with an autograph music quote signed and inscribed by her, dated in Miami, 1940. Size is 6.75 x 4.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian opera composer (1845-1924), creator of at least six operas. Autograph letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by him. Size is 4.25 x 6.9 inches, 4 written pages in one folded sheet, in excellent condition.

Swiss composer (1902-1995).  Autograph note signed on a card, written in French (sold untranslated) by the composer, and dated in Geneve, 1978.  It has a short music quote over the left border with 6 bars of music from his ballade for violin and orchestra.  Size is 5.75 x 4.1 inches, in very good condition. Italian composer and conductor (1882-1945), associated with music of Wagner and Italy. Autograph music quote signed on postcard of music from both Acts 2 and 3 of Wagner's Parsifal, signed in Buenos Aires, possibly in 1913. Size is 43.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer and conductor (1882-1945), associated with music of Wagner and Italy. Autograph music quote signed, 4 bars from his opera Palla de Mozzi, inscribed and dated in Buenos Aires in 1933. Size is 4.5 x 7.1 inches, minor spotter rust, in very good condition.

Italian opera composer (1863-1945), mostly remembered today for Cavalleria Rusticana and L'Amico Fritz, among other creations. A fine clip (a piece from a page from the printed score of his opera Nerone) signed and inscribed by him and dated 1936. Size is 8.8 x 4.8 inches, right border irregularly cut, otherwise in excellent condition.

English-born composer and organist (1879-1973), who lived in America most of his life. Printed score of his work "The Song of America, a Historical Pageant for Mixed Voices with Orchestra or Piano", signed and inscribed by him on the cover, with a short sentiment. Ninety-six pages, sized 6.75 x 10.5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian composer (1813-1877), and music teacher. Autograph letter with the letterhead of Regio Conservatorio di Musica (Milano) signed by him, written in Italian (sold untranslated), no date,  Size is 5.4 x 8.25 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

American composer (1911-2007), and instrumentalist. 4-bar autograph music quote from his "Overture on Whimsical Tunes" signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 6.1 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer (1820-1882), pupil of Pierre Zimmermann and Charles-Valentin Alkan. Autograph note in French signed by him, no date indicated, addressed to a certain Monsieur Désarbres requesting extra beds or a new room in a hotel. Size is 4.9 x 7.2 inches, 1 page, translation not included, in excellent condition.

Belgian composer (1784-1851) and horn player, Director of music at the Paris Opera between 1867 and 1870. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated June 17, 1842, addressed to the Belgian composer Joseph Daussoigne-Méhul (1790-1875), concerning a music work: “…pour le coup je ne sais ce que ton silence signifie, si ce que nous t’avons envoyé n’est pas bien, tu devrais nous le dire. J’ai vu ici cahou, il attend lui même ce qu’il doit graver; ses presses, ses ouvriers, tout cela attend, il ne sait a quoi attribuer tout ce grand retard…”. Size is 7 x 9.1 inches, 1 written page, folds, creases, with letter head of "Conservatoire de Musique de Gand", missing piece of paper over the left margin, in overall good condition.

Italian-American composer and librettist (1911-2007), who created several popular operas. Autograph note on a postcard with his letterhead signed by him, no date (postal markings indicate the year 1948), with a short message to a friend. Size is 5.4 x 3.3 inches, minor stains, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1851-1928), director of the Fursttheater and Kapellmeister of the Volksoper in Vienna, Mestrozzi created singing plays, waltzes, marches, and choirs. Rare collection of 10 autograph documents, one is signed, with lyrics, in German. A few are more than one page, various sizes and condition, some poor, some very good. See scans.

German opera composer (1791-1864) who has been described as perhaps the most successful stage composer of the XIX century, best remembered for his operas Le Prophéte, L'Africaine, Dinorah, Les Huguenots, and Robert Le Diable. Autograph letter written in German (untranslated) and signed by Meyerbeer's wife Minna Meyerbeer. size is 5.3 x 7.5 inches, 3 written pages, in very good condition.
