German-American pianist and composer (1851-1914), after a successful career as a concert pianist in Europe, Liebling settled in the US and focused in piano education, was mostly associated with the musical life in Chicago.
Set of 2 signed autograph letters, dated in 1902 and 1907, in English, with the letterhead of the Kimball Hall in Chicago. Letter dated in 1907 is handwritten on 1 sheet, both sides, 5.25 x 8.25, while the letter from 1902 is 8.25 x 11 inches, is handwritten in only 1 page, has some cracks but is in overall very good condition. Both are sold untranscribed.
Also included are 2 small programs from 1906 and 1909, for a piano concert by Liebling´s pupils and a lecture piano recital by him, respectively. Sizes are 5 x 6.25 inches, 4 pages for the 1906 program, and 4 x 7.5 inches, 1 page for the 1909 program. Both have folds, in fair condition.
